The 2 Day Maguaine.

My all time favourite film is The Last of the Mohicans.

While I think all the actors did a fantastic job, the bad guy stole that movie.

STOLE. IT.

Why? Because the character, Magua, acted all helpful-ish in the beginning, then when nobody was paying attention, he snuck up and then out of his nice blanket, BAM! Yeey, and forsooth, a legion of Redcoats be-eth dead upon the groundeth.

Out of nowhere, serious weaponry, lots of pain and agony, and copious amounts of suffering.

Which describes my head on Monday and Tuesday.

I woke up both days with a migraine, but Tuesday's was particularly BAD.

Why?

Many years ago, I was trail riding and fell down and went boom.

That's pretty much what happened to me. Minus the rodeo.

Except this had happened first:

Thankfully, it was a soft landing.

Oh, and today this happened:

That's the view of the Saint John River from the Westmoreland Street Bridge here in Fredericton, NB.

So, do the math, and voila, the perfect cranial storm.

Thankfully, the weather looks good the rest of the week.

Therefore, hopefully, so does the inside of my skull.

Now, if I could JUST get my brain to work.

PS: Yes, I rested, took plenty of Tylenol, Advil and I slept.

Ohhhh, Maguaine, yer goin' down!

This just in: by 11:20pm, Atlantic Standard Time, the Maguaine was 90% GONE. Yay.

  2. I don't have migraine but I do get cluster headaches, ESPECIALLY when the barometric pressure changes with extreme weather! The best solution I've ever found is 800mg of ibuprofen fast-acting liqui-gels, a 12 oz Dr Pepper, and a dark, cool room. Hope you're feeling all Hawkeye again in no time! :-)

  3. Jennifer, I have awful headaches ... we could talk about this. I was in a slight accident ... but head popped forward and backward ... since then, I get them. And I found out that I have a slight bit of scoliosis ... doc said I probably had it since a kid, went undiagnosed. Ugh. The vertebrae in my neck area are slightly curving. Nice. When I was in the hospital for my appendectomy, I got a bad one. My uncle was on his way (3 hour trip) to visit me. They finally let me take my Excedrin ... said they couldn't give me anything. What?! The nurse said, "I've got a hammer." Tears rolled down my cheeks. I took the Excedrin ... the nurse came in and put Benadryl in my IV (that was all they could give me). But the combo was like wind shield wipers wiping the headache away. And right as my uncle arrived. I was so thankful. Then I was fighting sleep while my uncle was there, but I didn't care ... I wasn't hurting anymore! I don't go anywhere without Excedrin now. Ugh.

Ahhhh, Benadryl. it's my altitude sickness drug of choice.

Our daughter has scoliosis, it's no fun. Nor is a headache. And poor you!
